SMALL INKA TRAIL – CHINCHERO – URQUILLOS – URUBAMBA

FIRST DAY :CUSCO – CHINCHERO- URQUILLOS
Pick up at 8 a.m.
After the pick up we direct for about an hour and a half in bus passing by different towns appreciating the beautiful landscapes and crops until arriving to Chinchero.
From where we start our way, it presents a variety of incan attractions, colony ones and update the life culture. Is one of the places that conserves its ancient customs along the years. After a way by the town and having visited its colonial temple the trekking by the inca road and the archeological way that belonged to Tupaq Inca Yujpanqui, we will continue the trekking by the inca road that is displaces by the slope between the hills of CruZ Moqo and the hill Lutupuquiu. |

Then we will descend by a road that has short stones roads and that along its way shows on its sides a diversity of species of flora and fauna, una secuency of fallings of water in the sector of Paccha and a visit to the valley or Urquillos and the snowy peask that are upper from the sacred valley. In our journey we will make short stop to take lunch.
The way last an approximate of 4 and a half hours of trekking, we will go to the community of Urquillos that is located over the 7 incas terraces, where are located the fields of maize, considered as the best in the world ), its plaza, the temple of San Juan de Dios and the huge pisonay tree that was put by Spaniards in the colonial epoch place where we will camp that night and take dinner. |
SECOND DAY: URQUILLOS- URUBAMBA- CUSCO
Breakfast 7:00 a.m.
After taking breakfast we will continue, the road coming back by the way that now is used as car road, up to the bridge of the town of Huayllabamba. In this way we will be able to appreciate the fields of crops and the inca flows on the Vilcanota River. After pasing along the bridge we will come back to the road that is conserved and that present lateral walls of stones, this takes us up to Yucay where we will visit the plazas with its pisonays trees, the colonial temple and the Palace of Sayri Tupaq. |

After, we will continue by the way, we will arrive to Qespiwanka, in Urubamba, place where we will take lunch this afternoon at noon.
Urubamba is the place where the Palace of Huayna Qhapac is found, building that shows a wall with hornacinas with double jamba that shows the importance of the place.
After visiting these places, we will go on board to the bus that will take us back to Cusco.
The trip lasts about an hour and a half, to then arriving to Cusco leave you in your hotels where the tour finishes.
