INCA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

Description:
For trail lovers, we enjoy four beautiful days on the Inca Trail arriving at the city of “Machupicchu.” We enjoy the flora and fauna for different altitude zones (orchids and different birds of the zone). Along the trail we visit different archeological sites of the Incas like Llacta-pata, Runkurakay Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Wiñay Wayna and the citidal of Machupicchu.

Itinerary.

Meet with the guide the night before the start of the trek

FIRST DAY: CUSCO – HUAYLLABAMBA.
At 6:00 a.m. we begin our pick up of passengers at their respective hotels to start our trip in a private bus with the destination of km. 82 (in the Sacred Valley of the Incas) where we will meet the other personnel who will accompany us during the trip (cooks and porters). Next we pass into the park entrance (INC), eating lunch on the trail. During the hike we can visit the first archeological site Llacta-pata, with a view of the snow of la Veronica (5682 m.). In the afternoon we arrive at out first campsite called Huayllabamba at 3000 meters.
SECOND DAY : HUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYO.
Breakfast at 6:30 a.m.
We begin our second day of the hike very early, ascending to the first pass of Warmiwañusca (4200 m.) where we can see a spectacular view of the valley. At this point we can also note the change of climate from the dry puno to the cloud forest, which is the high part of the tropical rainforest. From there we can find different varieties of native plants like orchids and others. Finally we arrive at our second campsite called Pacaymayo.
THIRD DAY : PACAYMAYO – WIÑAY WAYNA.
Breakfast at 6:30 a.m.
After eating breakfast, we continue with our hike arriving at the archeological site of Runkurakay. Next we reach the second pass that has the same name of Runkurkay (3800 m.) to descend to Sayacmarca, where we have a great view of the arche ological site Phuyupatamarca, which we can visit with our guide.
Continuing our hike, we descend a tropical valley to our third campsite called Wiñay Wayna.
FOURTH DAY : WIÑAY WAYNA – MACHUPICCHU.
Breakfast at 6:00 a.m.
After breakfast we continue with our journey very early now that our objective is to arrive at Inti Punku, called in English the Gate of the Sun, where we can see Machupicchu in its maximum splendor. Once in Machupicchu, we will have a guided visit of the lost city of the Incas. In the afternoon we go down to the town of Aguas Calientes to each lunch and then take the train to return to Cusco arriving at approximately 8:30 p.m. From there we await transfer bringing passengers to their respective hotels.

  • Comfortable clothing, 5 pairs of socks in case they get wet. It’s best to have extras to keep your feet warm and dry
